Ana is the fourth daughter of six children.  Because of the family’s economic situation there are no sons who attend school although they would like at least one son or daughter to be a professional.  The parents don’t have good jobs and two sons are already married and have their own families. Ana is the only one who wants to study and the parents want to help her but are unable to.  They need the help of other people so that they can send their daughter to school in another city, and accomplish the dream of having one child with a profession.
Also Ana speaks two languages. Tzutujil is her primary language and Spanish is her second language.

Ana is a young woman who wants to be a professional and realize the dreams of her parents.  She wants to study and work at the same time but it is not possible to do both things at the same time, so she needs the help of others

She would like to be a teacher, possibly a kindergarten teacher.  She likes children and very much wishes to work with young children.
