Rosalia, the second of three children, was born into an intact, economically-stable family. The sudden death of her father changed everything. Because the family has no life insurance, his death, the result of a working accident, left his family without any money. Her mother takes care of the household and earns only 40Q a week from additional jobs on the side. That makes it extremely hard to sustain her three children.Her oldest brother attends to the secondary school this means that would imply more expenses because her youngest sister also will attend to the third grade of primary this spring. For their mother it is too much work to get the money she needs to provide for her family.

Rosalia enjoys being in school. She studies with enthusiasm and takes care of her school materials. She will be in  fifth grade this spring and physical education is her favorite class.

Rosalia helps her mother whenever she can. She used to have a regular childhood but her father´s death has changed her life dramatically.
