Rufino is the fourth child in his family. His father died from alcoholism and his mother suffers from an illness that makes it difficult for her to support the family. Rufino’s older brother is the only one that works to support the family and his younger sister studies in the same grade. His family situation is very sad. The two oldest children of the family work to pay off their loan and for this reason can not support both of the other children. They have made the decision to support only one of the children as they can not afford to help them both. The family wishes for both the children to study so they can help with the financial responsibilities.

Rufino is very applied in his studies and enjoys going to school. This year he is attending the first year of secondary school. He wants to study but his mother does not have the possibility to help him. He is working on a farm to help make a little bit of money to help his family and to use in the school.

He likes to study very much and he would like to become a teacher.
